It does look like a really awesome tool for someone who reads alot. It would also be wonderful for college textbooks. Would save a lot of trees, money, and backs of students. Another note, this week Amazon is giving a $50 off a kindle purchase thru Oprah.com. Just go to Oprah.com before friday and look for the coupon code to save $50.
I like the built in dictionary feature, and that you can highlight in it.

Re: 16 Random Things | Consuming Worship

Finally got a new blog, Jeff... just wanted to drop by and say "hello" from my new home...

Re: 16 Random Things | Consuming Worship

16 random things! WOW! Thanks :) I'll put my thinking cap on!
Oh and cound me in that growing minority. I too am fine with species adaptation. Macro evolution is a whole other ball game. I've had that discussion many times as well.

Re: 16 Random Things | Consuming Worship

@Joseph Louthan: Adaptation is completely different than (macro) evolution. Adaptation is micro evolution, and does not produce a change in species (ie. reptile to bird, bovine to whale, simian to man, etc.)

Adaptation to an environment is something that has to have been built into the original animal's genetic code at the point of creation. Then, when you consider things like the effects of sin on all creation, there are imperfections that arise that cause mutations, defect, etc. Those that are incapable of adapting, for whatever reason, eventually become extinct.

Plus, since you bring it up, the term "back then," that opens up a whole other line of debate. I'm one who holds to an absolute literal reading of Genesis, and so I don't buy into the millions/billions of years theories.

Let me just say, before this convo. goes on any further, I'm not out to change anyone's mind, and I'll admit I'm pretty closed-minded on this issue. We can still discuss it, but I would hate for it to turn into a never ending debate.

I know I'm in a growing minority that is seen as ignorant, and I'm ok with that. ;)

@Craig: I wonder how many times you heard me say that phrase as we traveled across all those states? Good times.

Jeff M.
